Client Overview
One Planet Solar Recycling specializes in recycling and recovering valuable materials from decommissioned solar panels. Operating across the United States and Puerto Rico, the company works with solar installers, project developers, and energy companies. Its mission is to support the circular economy by providing responsible solar panel recycling and decommissioning solutions.
Challenges
One Planet faced several challenges in building a consistent sales pipeline:
- The team lacked the time to manage consistent prospecting while handling daily operations and existing client relationships.
- Without a structured lead generation process, revenue forecasting and growth planning were difficult.
- One Planet had opportunities across the US and Puerto Rico but lacked a systematic way to identify and reach prospects in new markets.
- The company needed better visibility among businesses making solar decommissioning decisions.
- It was also difficult to determine which prospect segments had the highest potential for conversion.
One Planet needed a scalable outreach strategy to build a more predictable pipeline of qualified solar decommissioning opportunities.
Munzai’s Strategy
Munzai Solutions developed a two-phase outreach strategy focused on lead generation, prospect engagement, and pipeline development.
- Phase 1: Cold Calling — December 2025 to February 2026
We contacted solar installers, contractors, and energy companies across Florida, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. Lead lists were sourced through ZoomInfo and Google. This phase helped build outreach volume, test messaging, and identify the most responsive prospect segments.
- Phase 2: LinkedIn Outreach — March to June 2026
The strategy shifted to LinkedIn to reach senior decision-makers at larger energy companies. LinkedIn proved more effective for reaching prospects involved in large-scale decommissioning projects. Independent power producers and utility operators became key target segments.
- Supporting Channels
Personalized emails and follow-up sequences were used to create multiple touchpoints with prospects. Industry conference attendees from SAMNA and NAHMMA were also targeted, particularly companies already considering solar decommissioning and recycling solutions.
- Continuous Optimization
Campaign messaging was refined using real-world feedback from prospects. Value propositions were tested, scripts were improved, and outreach was adjusted to increase conversation quality and conversion potential.

Impact
The partnership helped One Planet strengthen its business development process without hiring additional staff. This allowed the team to focus more on operations and closing deals while Munzai managed prospecting and outreach. The campaign also expanded One Planet’s reach into new markets and connected the company with businesses that did not yet have a solar panel recycling solution in place.
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how structured, multi-channel outreach can support growth in the solar decommissioning market. By combining cold calling, LinkedIn, and email outreach, Munzai helped One Planet establish a more consistent approach to business development. The strategy created a strong foundation for reaching new markets and building future opportunities.
